It takes 7 to 10 years to grow our balsam and Fraser fir Christmas trees before they are ready to be harvested and bring their Christmas magic to families.
As a family-owned Christmas tree farm in Quebec, Canada, we are able to carefully manage every stage of the growing process. From planting to harvesting, our hands-on approach allows us to produce premium-quality Christmas trees while maintaining responsible and environmentally conscious growing practices.
From Premium Transplants to Christmas Trees
The process begins with carefully selected premium-quality transplants from a nursery. Every May, we plant thousands of new trees using a manual planting process and specialized hand tools developed on our farm.
This approach allows trees of different ages and sizes to grow throughout the plantation while helping us preserve a more natural environment. Over the following years, each tree receives the attention needed to develop into a healthy, attractive balsam or Fraser fir Christmas tree.
Environmentally Responsible
Christmas Tree Growing
Environmental responsibility is an important part of how we grow our Christmas trees. We maintain natural grasses throughout the plantation to help protect the soil and contribute to pest prevention.
We also use one of nature’s own pest-control solutions: ladybugs. By combining preventive soil management with natural pest-control practices, we have been able to avoid chemical pesticide use for the past five years. If special growing conditions require their use in the future, our commitment is to keep it to the minimum necessary.
Hand-Pruned for Quality and Shape
To produce the dense foliage and beautiful shape customers expect from a premium Christmas tree, our trees are individually hand-pruned throughout their growth.
Being a medium-sized Christmas tree producer also allows us to harvest and prepare our trees close to shipping time. This helps our wholesale Christmas tree customers, retailers and distributors receive fresh-cut trees with excellent quality and freshness.
Before shipping, every balsam fir is individually packed in Vexar netting to help protect its branches during transportation.
